Well, that was fun
I'm sorely tempted to write - I'm tired. Blah, blah, blah.
But I won't. :)
Closed the show last night. This last weekend was really fun. Great crowds, and the girls and I were really in the groove. We all felt like we were just getting into it, and of course now it's over. I guess that's the way it goes. Plus I got to sign a fangirl's boob. Now I feel like a rock star! I won't let it go to my head. Ha!
I'm glad, though. I can really buckle down on class work, and also work on getting an agent. I've been loathe to submit with my hair this crazy color and all my time taken up with the theatre. I'm definitely taking a break from the stage. For the past two years I've been constantly working on shows, sometimes two or three at once. I need a brain-cation.
On another note, it was really wonderful getting to watch everybody's work last Tuesday. I knew when we went into watching takes that I wasn't probably going to get to see any of my work yet, considering that I missed that initial filming date. But seeing the successes and failures and really close calls that the class had was so insightful. The mistakes that were made were definitely things I do myself. In a way it's comforting knowing that I'm not the only one that struggles. And it's good to get notes on how to make adjustments in those situations. Boy, I love my classmates. They are so talented. I feel so blessed to be able to work with them every week. They are really the hardest working actors I know, and I'm surrounded by actors every day, working at the VORTEX. I wish everyone I knew had such strong work ethic.
So, it's late, I'm exhausted, and bed is calling my name. But I'll see you tomorrow for another insightful night of class! Can't wait.
And here's a picture of my dog Daisy and I that I had ready to go for the SafeAuto insurance audition, just in case. I was prepared. :)
